Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you visit GateShala (https://www.gateshala.com/) and how it is used. By using the site, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
GateShala does not ask you to create an account and does not ask for your name, email address or any other personal details to read the lessons.
Information stored in your browser
The site saves two small settings in your browser's local storage: your colour theme (light or dark) and the programming language you last picked in code examples. These settings stay on your device, are never sent to us, and you can clear them at any time from your browser settings.
Services provided by third parties
Some parts of the site use services run by other companies. When your browser loads them, those companies may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the page you visited.
- GitHub Pages hosts the website and may keep server logs of visits.
- Google Fonts provides the fonts used on the site.
- jsDelivr delivers code-editor files used by the playground.
- Wandbox (wandbox.org) runs the code you choose to run in the playground. The code you type is sent to Wandbox only when you press Run, so do not put personal information in it.
Advertising and cookies
GateShala may show advertisements served by Google AdSense to keep the site free.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
- To learn more, read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Children's information
GateShala is meant for students and learners of all ages, but we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has shared personal information with us, please contact us and we will remove it.
Links to other websites
Lessons may link to other websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites.
